The Gauselmann subsidiary Merkur Gaming America presented its latest slot machine technologies at the now fourth gaming fair Juegos Miami (29.05.-31.05). Since 2016, the company maintains a close relationship with the fair. This year, the main focus is on the innovative product Rapid Thunder. What exactly is this about?
Fair of the Utmost Importance
Merkur Gaming America, a subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group based in Espelkamp, North Rhine-Westphalia, will play a major role at this year’s Juegos Miami. In order to present the latest product innovations of the market giant, a competence team from Latin America, the Caribbean and the USA has been put together, which is presented on the site from 29.05. Hosted since 2016 in the Tuttle Suite of the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, a city in Florida, which belongs to the County of Miami-Dade.
According to Charles Hiten, CEO of Merkur Gaming America, the event will consist of various theme-specific conferences as well as educational, exhibition and networking opportunities, as well as a “strong social element”. In this sense, Gauselmann also acts as the main sponsor of the opening gala in the Alhambra Ballroom. The managing director refers in this regard in advance to the high importance of the fair for the global group. In a press release it says:
“Since the launch of the event in 2016, Mercury has maintained a strong link with Juego’s Miami. We are proud to be an exhibitor in the Tuttle Suite and as a dedicated sponsor of the evening opening gala of Juegos Miami. In addition to our US employees, we will also be assisted by senior executives from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. We look forward to welcoming various industry representatives from the US, the Caribbean and all of Latin America. “
New Product Rapid Thunder
At the show, Merkur will be showcasing a range of its latest gaming innovations, including several successful games such as Immortal Emperor, Taco Tuesday, Immortal Princess, Land of Charms, Amulet of the Pharaoh and Baozang. The games were recently equipped with the latest Merkur product Rapid Thunder. This is a built-in jackpot bonus feature with a high price. But what is this exactly?
Rapid Thunder is a new, non-progressive winning symbol added to the aforementioned games. The symbol can appear on every roller. Whenever it appears, a so-called “electrified radiate wreath” is left on the respective roller path. As soon as the entire reel is surrounded by the wreaths, the reel transforms into a rapid reel – of which, however, the player needs at least two to win a mini-jackpot.
In the course, the jackpots can increase: If three Rapid Reels triggered, the player wins the minor jackpot, four of the major jackpot and five of the maximum jackpot of a whopping $ 10,000, provided that even a maximum bet was made. The bottom line is that the feature allows players to track not only “breathtaking game themes,” but also “great prizes.”
In addition to the new Rapid Thunder product, a series of well-known Merkur games will be presented in both single and multiplayer formats. In addition, the very successful avant-garde and Evostar trios of the cash handling specialist Gauselmann company GeWeTe will be in focus.
Due to the generally stringent regulations regarding casinos in the individual German states, the Gauselmann Group is now active on the whole. While only three Merkur casinos are located in Germany today – the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt (Leuna-Günthersdorf, Magdeburg, Halle (Saale)), the group has been growing in recent years mainly in the markets of North, Central and South America. In the year 2017 alone, the company brought half of its profits abroad to its founder and gambling billionaire Paul Gauselmann.
While the regulations in Germany are tightening further, Gauselmann is profiting from the increasing liberalization of various international markets. In Canada, the US, Mexico and various South American countries, the markets are developing in a gambling-open direction, which benefits the group more. It is obvious that Gauselmann should be even more worthy to showcase at this year’s Juegos Miami.
